He is survived by: his wife Mary Mercer; his children, Jason Mercer of Chancellor, AL, Mandy Norris (Bryan) of Dothan, AL and Gregory Morgan (Jed); his siblings, Vivian Moore (Morris) of Chancellor, AL and Farrial Mercer (Teresa) of Chancellor, AL; his grandchildren, Hunter Mercer and Madison Norris; and his nieces and nephews, Chase Mercer (Corey), Nikki Trawick (Chad), Christy Motley (Josh), Ashley Phillips (Billy) and Stacey Dunaway (Bo). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main St. Dothan, AL 36301 in memory of Gerald Mercer.
