He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Ruth Stokes and Lynn A. Stokes; and his siblings, Ruth Danley and Phillip Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Stokes of Chancellor, AL; his children, Angela L. Buxton, Hugh E. Barber and Mark C. Barber; his grandchildren, Brandon Rutherford of Enterprise, AL, Bethany Goad, Tracy Barber, Destinie Polk, Amber McAnear and Christopher Carnley; and his brother Earl Stokes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
