It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Arnold Green of Chancellor, Alabama, born in Bellwood, Alabama, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Luther and Janie Pittman Green; his grandson Eason Griffin; and his siblings, Jerry Green (Sandra), Martha Auston (Donald), Earl Green, Joan Martin (Lomax) and Jean Sanders (Ron).
He is survived by: his wife Kathy D. Green of Chancellor, AL; his children, Jason Green of Chancellor, AL, Kim Green of Geneva, AL and Chris Courington (Shelley) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Emma Griffin, Evan Griffin, Austin Green, Amelia Courington and John Reese Courington; his siblings, Luther Green (Rose) of Montgomery, AL, Sue Fondren (Archie) of Hartford, AL and Bobby Green (Helen) of Prattville, AL; his sister-in-law June Green of Bellwood, AL; and his close friend Pat Edwards of New Brockton, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home (2744 W Magnolia Ave, Samson, AL 36477). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Of Christ Cemetery.
