With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Paul Oates of Chancellor, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sue Oates; his grandparents, James Oates, Paul Hughes and Merle Grant; his uncle Wayne Oates; and his cousin Andrew Oates.
He is survived by: his daughter Endia Love Oates of Auburn, AL; his father Harry James Oates (Gina) of Enterprise, AL; his brother Michael James Oates (Lauri) of Panama City, FL; his grandmother Frances Oates of Chancellor, AL; his nieces, Ally, Kayley, Kinsey and Aubrie Sue; his nephew Mathew; his aunt Paulette Green of Daleville, AL; his uncles, Steve Oates (Rita) of Enterprise, AL and Johnny Hughes of Enterprise, AL; and his cousins, Angela Buxton (Buck) of Enterprise, AL and Tabitha Davis (Kevin).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory (1301 Neal Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
