He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer W. Smith and Dorothy Lewis Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Harris Smith; his sons, Sloan H. Smith (Stephanie) of Pleasant Grove, AL and Shawn H. Smith (Jennifer) of Hartford, AL; and his sister Vicki Lightfoot (Harry) of Slater, MO. He is also survived by five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
