Monroe Chance Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monroe Chance of Centreville, Alabama, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Chance and Marie Crawford Chance of Cross; his wife Nellie Chance; his son Donald L. Chance; his siblings, James A. Chance, Woodrow Chance, Lawton Chance, Willard "Luke" Chance, Leonard Chance and Myrtle Vornado; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Avery Wood, John Doss and Frank Whaley.

He is survived by: his sons, Daniel M. Chance (Chiame) of Centreville and Joseph W. Chance (Susan) of Ormond Beach, Florida; his daughter-in-law Sharon Chance of Wichita Falls, Texas; his siblings, Edith Cadell and Robert Chance (Brenda); and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Wood (Nena), Ronnie Wood (Mary), Bonnie Chance, Bessie Chance, Brenda Doss, Wanda Whaley and Rebecca "Ellen" Wood. He is also survived by seven grandsons; nine great-grandchildren.
