He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Bud" Kornegay and Flo Thompson; his wife Doris Kornegay; and his daughter Debbie Kornegay. He is survived by: his son Sammy Kornegay (Donna); his grandchildren, Leanna Stephens (Ryan), Alyssa Kornegay, Sam Kornegay (Marley) and Terilyn Kornegay; and his great grandchildren, Clara Stephens and Jack Kornegay.
