She was predeceased by: her husband Terry Barnes; her sister Kathy McDaniel (James); and her parents, James Abernathy and Mary Abernathy. She is survived by: her children, Robert Abernathy, Terry Lee Barnes (Rhonda), Travis Barnes (Tabitha), Sylvia McKinney (Matthew) and Danielle Twilley (Matthew); her siblings, James Abernathy (Debra), Larry Abernathy (Beverley), Ronald Abernathy (Debra), Kenneth Abernathy and Helen Epps (Dale); her grandchildren, Keyton, Adriana, Marcus, Devin, Nevaeh and Nathan; and her great grandchild Eliza Abernathy.
