He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Cothran; his sister Patricia Jordan; his half-siblings, Lathran, Buford, Annie and Dorothy; and his parents, Lawrence Cothran and Birdie Amber McKnight Cothran.
He is survived by: his sons, Eddie Cothran (Stacy), Mitchell Cothran (Alice) and Michael Cothran (Becky); his sister Janice Norton; his grandchildren, Hope Cothran, Jake Cothran, Emmy Cothran, Jameson Cothran, Alisha Peace (Michael) and Cory Nelms; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Camryn, Emma and Mason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel (1611 Clarence E Chesnut Jr Bypass, Centre, AL 35960). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at the Hebron Cemetery (4445 County Rd 113, Centre, AL 35960).
