Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Thurman Whorton of Centre, Alabama, born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 81, on August 6, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Whorton and Maybell Whorton. He is survived by: his children, Chris Whorton (Brenda) of Centre, Penny Whorton Grimes of Centre and Shelley Whorton East of Centre; and his brother Charley Whorton (Carolyn). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church #2.
