Sarah Francis Fortenberry Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Francis Fortenberry of Centre, Alabama, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Jackson Fortenberry; her son John Whitt Fortenberry; her siblings, Wilburn Griffith (Sarah), Weldon Griffith (Ann), Wayne Griffith (Leila), Eloise Griffith Godfrey and Pat Pruitt; and her parents, Jonnie Griffith and Thelma Johnson Griffith.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Terri Eloise Fortenberry; her great grandchild Avery Reign Summerford; and her brother Billy Joe Pruitt. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive flowers delivered to the cemetery or donations may be made to Venecia's Foundation in Piedmont, AL or the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
