He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Swafford; his brother-in-law Lindsey Ledford; and his parents, Vester Cleborn Thomas and Mary Lou Hudson Swafford. He is survived by: his children, Ralph Swafford Jr. of Centre, Shane Swafford (Dava) of Collinsville and Teresa Battles (Aaron) of Centre; his sister Linda Ledford of Yorkville; his niece Mary Moore; and his close friend Marie Wright. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
