He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Ruth Gowens Gossett. He is survived by: his grandsons, Carl Gossett (Cindy) of Centre, Keith Gossett (Renee) and Rickey Gossett (Renae); his great grandchildren, Wesley Gossett, Allison Shaw (Adam), Ross Gossett (Erin), Anna-Beth Green (Dylan), Laura Hood (Jay), Drew Gossett (Claire) and Jenny Watkins (Walt); and his granddaughter Kristen Gossett.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Building Fund or Howell Cemetery Fund.
