He was predeceased by: his wife Myra Smith; his siblings, Charles Farrell Smith, Harlan Oliver Smith, Jerry Wayne Smith and Audrey Ruth; and his parents, Emmanuel Oliver and Sarah Lona England Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie "Shorty" West of Centre and Stacy Smith of Centre; his sisters-in-law, Martha Smith of Cullman and Jean Devore of The Villages; and his grandchildren, Trai and Myles West.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Cherokee County Rescue Squad or east Centre Baptist Church.
