She was predeceased by: her daughter Judy Hosey; her sister Mary Ruth Cheatam; and her parent Joseph Bruce. She is survived by: her husband James Gilliland of Centre; her son Jim Gilliland (Hazel) of Boaz; her grandchildren, Zachary Scott Hosey (Gabby), Jenna Leigh Owens, Stephanie Ann Gilliland, Anthony Rhodes (Marcia), Sonya Brimer (Jeremy) and Tonya Elliott; and her parent Myrtie Leigh Alewine. She is also survived by 10 Great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Relay for Life.
