He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Monts Whitten; his children, Gary Wade Whitten and Holly R. Whitten; his grandchildren, Emily Madison Whitten, Annabelle Whitten, Sara Kate Whitten and Norman 'Manny Douglas Whitten; and his pets, BayBay and Sissy.
