He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Gilliland; his daughter Judy Hosey; and his mother Beulah Gilliland. He is survived by: his son James W. "Jimmy" Gilliland, Jr. (Hazel); and his grandchildren, Jenna Owens, Zach Hosey, Stephanie Gilliland, Dr. Anthony Rhodes (Marcia), Sonya Rhodes and Tonya Whitlock (Kevin). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel (1611 Clarence E Chesnut Jr Bypass, Centre, AL 35960). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Cherokee Memory Gardens (1250 Piedmont Hwy, Centre, AL 35960).
