It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Aileen Whorton of Centre, Alabama, who passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John F. Whorton; and her parents, Raymond McMeekin and Gert McMeekin. She is survived by: her children, Michael Whorton (Tammy), Ronnie Wells (Karen), Jennifer Wells and Donna McCarley; her grandchildren, Skylar Ray (Jennifer), Breanna Whorton, Caitlyn Wells and Brent Wells; and her great grandchildren, Libby Ray, Ryan Ray, Brynley Whorton, Kylyn Johnson and Kieryan Johnson.
