He was predeceased by: his parents, Haynes A. Renfroe and Mae Renfroe. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Renfroe; his children, Leisa Renfroe, Alan Renfroe, Stacy Renfroe (Teresa) and Krista Smith; his sisters, Marge Coleman, Jean Campbell, Rachel Pruett and Linda Winkles; his grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Caitlin Toumey (Jeremy) and Nicholas Renfroe; his great grandchild Sophia Toumey; and his cousin Faye Mackey. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
