It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harlan Leo Matthews (Centre, Alabama), who passed away on February 24, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Matthews and Ruby Morgan Matthews; his wife Martha Gowens Matthews; and his sisters, Grace Kerr and Betty Joan Kerr.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Matthews (Wendy), Phil Matthews, Caves Spring and Kelly Matthews; his siblings, Johnny Matthews, Jerry Matthews (Kathy) and Glenda Gill; his grandchildren, Justin Matthews (Lindsey), Olivia Matthews, Hagan Matthews and Zach Kerr; and his great grandchildren, Anna Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins, Chloe Jenkins and Maeleigh Matthews. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
