It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Gipson Mena (Centre, Alabama), born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away on May 5, 2019, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Grace Hester; and her parents, Houston Gipson and Mary Twilley Gipson. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Bates (Anna) of Fort Payne and Johny Brumett of Colorado; her friend Mandy Yates; her sisters, Frances Alford of Centre and Judy Russell (Jimmy Harrelson); and her grandchildren, Landon, Alissa and Jase Brumett.
