She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Brown Rickett and Mabel Bishop Rickett; her husband Jehu McLeod; and her siblings, Ruth Grace, J. W. Rickett and Bill Rickett.

She is survived by: her children, Laura Ann Wheat and Anthony Edward Slayton; and her siblings, Donnie Faye Smith and David Rickett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
