He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Ada Burk; and his parents, Edsel Lee Mitchell Sr. and Gladys Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Harkins Mitchell; his daughters, Cindy Motes (Greg) and Geni Morgan (Jacob); his grandchildren, Cassidy, Candice, Savannah, Erin, Dustin, Taylor, Ansley, Liam and Madilynn; and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Kennedy, Selah, Mia, Aiden, Georgia Kate and Oaklyn.
