He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Lanier and Clara Cobia. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Keener Cobia; his sister Josephine Phillips (Bill); his sisters-in-law, Ginger Cobia and Glenda Brown; and his close friends, Harvey Dupree and Lindsey Miller.
