It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Strickland (Centre, Alabama), born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away on October 24, 2018, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Van Strickland; and her parent John Cunningham. She is survived by: her sons, Stacy Strickland (Susan) of Lafayette, GA and Stan Strickland (Nancy) of Opelika, AL; her sister Martha Acrey Smith (Roger) of Centre; her grandsons, Rob Strickland (Hannah) and Kerry Strickland; and her parent Mamie King Cunningham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
