It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jayson McElroy of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away on March 15, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gecolga Ann McElroy; his siblings, George McElroy and Mary Frances McElroy; and his parents, Harvey, Sr. McElroy and Cornelia Smith McElroy.

He is survived by: his daughter Tommie JaySonya McElroy; his siblings, Joe, Harvey McElroy, Clara Stallings, Gloria Smith, Bessie Jones and Alphafretta Qualls; and his grandchildren, Raveen Markley (Greg), Jayla McElrath and Chris Preston.
