He was predeceased by: his parents, Zoma Lewis and Martha Amerson Covin; and his grandson Garrett Salter. He is survived by: his wife Loma Monk Covin of Castleberry; his children, Andy Covin (Celest) of Cypress, DeWayne Covin of Cypress, Kim Farris (Beau) of Killen and Tracey Salter (Ricky) of Castleberry; his sisters, Sue Eady (Gerald) of Pace, JoAnn Braxton (Don) of Milton and Jackie Rodgers (Bob) of Shreveport; his grandchildren, Trey Salter (Mallory), Savannah Farris, Chandler Farris, Skylah Huffman, Drew Covin, Addison Covin, Kai Bennett, Kaleb Bennett and Brent (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Avery Salter, Maggie Salter, Laney Salter and Levi Salter.
