He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Godwin and Annie McClain Godwin; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Edith Green. He is survived by: his wife Jerry Green Godwin of Castleberry; his children, Chris Godwin (Stacey) of Castleberry and Candy Godwin of Opelika, Alabama; his sister Frances Lucas (Mayhew) of Damascus; and his grandchildren, Blake Godwin, Will Godwin, Cameron Godwin and Casey Godwin.
