Robert Lee Acker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Lee Acker (Carrollton, Alabama), who passed away on August 11, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Acker and Fronia Hicks Acker; his stepmother Lottie Thrasher Acker; his sisters, Fronia Ray Goodman, Sara Turnipseed Hemphill, Doris Sparks, Laurice Rotenberry and Beatrice Ward; and his granddaughter Madison Pratt.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra McCool Acker of Carrollton; his children, Megan Pratt (Jack) of Carrollton, Michael Acker (Barbara) of Pullman and Mark Acker (Alinna) of Austin; his sisters, Evelyn McDaniel of Carrollton and Jean Crawford of Tuscaloosa; his sisters-in-law, Sheila McCool of Gordo and Phyllis McCool of Leesburg; his brother David Acker (Virginia) of Brilliant; his brother-in-law Dan Kelly of Northport; his grandchildren, Joel Pratt, Marianna Pratt, Devin Acker and Michelle Acker; and his aunt Posey Hicks. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He often joked about being "sprinkled" at Marvin Chapel Methodist Church and "baptized'' when he joined West End Baptist Church in Aliceville as an adult.
