He was predeceased by: his grandson Hunter Bledsoe; his sister Martha Lenyell Jones; his parents-in-law, L. D. and Claudine Carroll; and his parents, James Leonard Jones and Nettie Mary McDill Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Gay Carroll Jones; his daughter Stacey McDaniel (Mitch); his siblings, Donna Rager (Mike), Mandy Nettles, Charlean Jones, Margaret Ann Guy (David), Earnest Jones (Doris), Lester Earl Jones (Sandra) and James Carl Jones (Darlene); his grandchildren, Lawson, Grayson, Haley and Caroline; and his great grandchildren, Bristol and Ryder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
