James Walter Bridges Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Walter Bridges Sr. of Carrollton, Alabama, who passed away on January 28, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Ann "Nan" Seymer Bridges; his siblings, Burnice Bridges, Frances Hollingsworth Stephens and Shelby Johnston; his grandson Cleve Smith; and his parents, Doc Bridges and Minnie Wilson Bridges.
He is survived by: his children, Dixie Bridges Smith (Cleveland) of Tupelo, MS and James W. "Jimmy" Bridges, Jr. (Jackie) of Long Branch, TX; his granddaughters, Bea Treat (Nic), Sabrina Smith, Chloe Elsner (Paul), Colleen Shepherd (Ben) and Carrie Crelia (Travis); his great grandchildren, Rivers Treat, Piper Treat, Ezra Treat, Ramsey Bridges, Archer Bridges and Hallie Elsner; and his siblings-in-law, Pep Johnston and Dot Bridges. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
