With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Carr of Carrollton, Alabama, who passed away on September 8, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Joy Graham Carr; his wife Nona Faye Phillips Carr; his parents, Early Ezekiel Carr and Emma Driver Goodman; his daughter Renee Tyra; and his siblings, Sarah Freeman, Brenda Rainwater and Sonny Carr.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Carr (Jennifer) and Lisa Barker (David); his son-in-law Jeff Tyra; his siblings, Gerald Goodman, LaVaughn Goodman (Sherry), Faye Harkins (Charles), Judy Jarvis and Debra Wheat (Roger); his grandchildren, Rachael Pope (Josh), Jason McGee, Meagen Tyra Carter (Ry), Leanna Barker, Zane Tyra (Hannah), Caleb Carr (Baylee) and Daniel Carr; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Pope, Anderson Carter, Grayson Carter, Lawson Carter and John Ashley McGee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
