It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred Leon Acker of Carrollton, Alabama, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife JoAnn Price Acker; his daughter Diane Shepherd; and his parents, Thomas Acker and Tamsel Cook Acker. He is survived by: his wife Janice Acker; his children, Allen Livingston, Kenneth Acker (Gail), William Acker (Susan), Mike Birmingham (Hazel), Kerry Birmingham (Mary Ann), Clint Grayson, Debra Noland (Johnny) and Jana Davis (Wilson); and his son-in-law Danny Joe Shepherd. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
The family requests masks be worn and social distancing observed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
