He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Sandlin and Mary "Tootsie" Rubley Sandlin; his brother Cooper Sandlin; and his grandparents, Rounder, Sophia Sandlin, James and Esther Rubley.

He is survived by: his wife Lynly Sandlin; his children, Kinley Sandlin, Gabby Sandlin and Tyler Keene (Mandy); his grandchildren, Tucker Reed Keene and Avery Jane Keene; his pet Ellie; his siblings, Darlene Jenkins, Rounder "Fox" Sandlin and Eddie Joe Davis; his parents-in-law, Henry, Jane McDonald and Jerry Trimm; his siblings-in-law, Mark Trimm (Catrina) and Pat Earnest (Billy); his niece Anna Earnest; and his close friend Sarge. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Carbon Hill First United Methodist Church.
