He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey King and Frances King; his wife Edna Mae King; and his daughter Helen. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Wilson and Jerry King; his sister Shirley King; his grandson Carl Wilson, III; and his great grandchildren, Jordan and Melisa Wilson.
