He is survived by: his children, Anthony Ford (Linda) of Camp Hill, AL, Sara Turner (Henry) of Camp Hill, AL, Richard Ford Jr. (Deborah) of Camp Hill, AL, Doletha Farrow of Opelika, AL, Stanley Chislom (Mary) of Wadley, AL and Courtney Whitlow of Auburn, AL.; his grandchildren, Shinetta Ware, Keith Ware, Cedric Edwards Sr. (Brandi), Marcus Ware, Laneka Griffin, Laqunda Tolbert, Starlet Calloway (JaCorey), Janika Ford, April Ford, Tiffany Chislom, Alexis Ford, Calvin Ware (Rachel), Tatianna Holloway, Dewaynia Farrow, Raven Chislom, Ra'Shena Holloway, Michael Farrow, Julian Smith, Megan Smith, Ki'Janae Whitlow, Caisley Bledsoe, Cayden Whitlow and Camille Whitlow; his siblings-in-law, Steven Lee Picker of Hogansville, GA and Annie Dell Ergle of Lagrange, GA; his godsons, Vandrell Ross and Reginald Walton; his brother Terry Ware; his cousin Malvin Mae Presley; his niece Belinda Taylor; his close friend Charlie Ross; and also Maxine Williams.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church (26403 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Camp Hill, AL 36850).
