It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Harry Phillips (Camp Hill, Alabama), who passed away on April 15, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray M. Phillips and Lois Allen Phillips; and his grandparents, Oliver, Nannie Allen, Warner and Alice Phillips.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Larry Phillips (Avie) of Hughley, AL, Kay Phillips Ingle (George) of Dadeville, AL and Mitchell Phillips (Rose) of College Park, GA.; and his aunt Wyllowdean Hendrix of Elberta, AL.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to attend, with social distancing observed.

“Harry (and Larry) were my "go-to" for help and support when in high school. They were my only relatives in Lafayette H. S. which gave us a special bond. Of course, there were all the athletic moments of glory for "Cougar" but we shared the much deeper side as artists. I was privileged to read the beautiful poetry and lyrics to songs he had written. Always a gentleman, kind, caring, and a cousin who made me most proud. My deepest sympathy goes out to all. Cousin Sandra Demitruk Fuller”
