With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gwendolyn Oates Boyett (Camp Hill, Alabama), who passed away on January 17, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Knox Oates and Jacquelyn Spencer Oates; her brother Alton Spencer Oates; and her brother-in-law Walter Thomas Boyett. She is survived by: her husband Steve Boyett; her daughter Michele Renee Sims (Gary Sims II); her grandchildren, Gary Sims III and Jennifer Sims; her great grandchild Knox Thomas Sims; her sister Denise Oates; her sisters-in-law, Rebecca Oates, Angela Shaver, Nelda Boyett and Cindy White; and her parents-in-law, Helen and Walter Boyett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
