He was predeceased by: his wife Shelia; his parents, Charles Gresham and Grace Gresham; and his siblings, Larry, Martin, Wanda, Red and Bettie Ann.

He is survived by: his children, Don Gresham, Jr., Karyn Hammock (Casey) and Bridget Rutland; his grandchildren, Dawson (Moenousha), Hayden, Makinna (Jake), Alyssa and Cole; and his siblings, Orie, Elaine and Mary.
