He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy Patterson of Camp Hill, Alabama; his daughters, Genette Heard (David) of Camp Hill, Alabama, Ceola Ware of Camp Hill, Alabama and Verneda Patterson of Camp Hill, Alabama; his grandchildren, Davita Melvin (Patrick) of Fayetteville, Davie C. Heard of Vance, Kendrick Ware (Tawanda) of Opelika and Cory Ware of Brookhaven, Mississippi; and his sisters, Pearline Holston of Montgomery, Louise Collier of Opelika and Gloria Marbury of Montgomery. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
