She was predeceased by: her husband Emmett Tolliver Sawyer; her parents, Vaughn Brooks and Ibbie Aline Brooks; her sons, James Dudley Sawyer and Emmett Carroll Sawyer; her grandson Emmett James Sawyer; and her siblings, Cecil Brooks and Kate Napp.
She is survived by: her daughter Shelia Elaine Sawyer of Foley, AL; and her brother Kerley Brooks of Excel, AL. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
