He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. Thomas Henry Chesnutt and Chrissie Wright Boney Chesnutt; his children, John Chesnutt (Julie) of Atlanta, GA, Tom Chesnutt (Paula Fitzgerald) of Cardiff, CA, Maggie Chesnutt (Bill Goolsby) of Atlanta, GA and Carol Chesnutt (Paul Winer) of Fairfield, IA; his stepchildren, Bobby Faucette (Mary), Janie Faucette Moore (Randy) and Tommy Faucette (Mindi); his grandchildren, Dara, Taylor, Jefferson, Henry Chesnutt, Jonathan Breeling, Parker, Chase Winer, Avery, Phoebe, Ramsey and Ryan Faucette; and his parents-in-law, Tommy, Clare Frist, Johnny, Jillian Frist and Jane Frist.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Columbia Theological Seminary, Atlanta, GA, or Presbyterian College, Clinton, SC.
