She is survived by: her son George Lee Hawthorne Jr. of Daphne, AL; her daughter-in-law Patricia Higbee Hawthorne of Daphne, AL; and her granddaughters, Jennie Meade Hawthorne Nelson (Noah) of Frankfort, KY and Margaret Lee Hawthorne of San Francisco, CA..
