She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Joseph E. Lowery and Dr. Evelyn Gibson Lowery; her children, Leon Kennedy, III (Brigit), Joi Yvonne Kennedy, Joseph Lowery Kennedy, Sr. (Carnetta), Stephen Walter Kennedy (Yashene) and Timothy Gibson Kennedy (Heather); and her siblings, Karen Lowery (Cheryl Lowery) and Leroy Lowery. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Yvonne was the Executive Director of Audiostate 55 Musical Arts and Technology Foundation.
