He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Wayne Barefield and Lily Bell Pierce Barefield; his wife Evelyn C. Barefield; his son Wayne Barefield; and his siblings, Don Barefield, Johnny Barefield, Dorothy Jean Cost and Frances Sheffield.
He is survived by: his sons, Curtis Barefield (Kym) of Calera and Randy Barefield (Tammy) of Calera; his daughter-in-law Diana Barefield of Shelby; and his sister Linda Stone of Calera. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren.
