He was predeceased by: his parents, James Knox McKay (Jim) and Mary Elizabeth Jackson McKay (Bette); his brother Philip McKay; and his nephew Paul McKay. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Fulmer McKay; his children, Rachel McKay, James McKay and Jameson Hughes (Nancy); his granddaughter Margot Hughes; his brother Jim McKay (Frances); his friends, Wayne and Carolyn Fulmer; and his sisters-in-law, Marty Ducote (Jeaux) and Connie Lumley (Tim). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Morningstar Methodist Church (11072 Co Rd 11, Chelsea, AL 35043). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
