Loretta Neaves Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Loretta Neaves of Calera, Alabama, who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cuba William Gambrell and Geneva Sue Edwards; her son James Neaves, Jr.; her grandson Jimmy Allen Simmons, Jr.; and her brother Ronald Ware Gambrell.
She is survived by: her husband James Neaves, Sr. of Calera; her children, Geneva Hollis of Calera, Patricia N. Poole (Brian) of Calera, Janet Hagerla (Randy) of Columbiana, Jeffrey Neaves of Fairbanks, AK and Danny Neaves (Laura) of Thorsby; and her siblings, Donnie Gambrell (Sherry) of Gadsden and Saundra Brown (Jerry) of Quinton. She is also survived by 4 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lighthouse Church (20056 US-31, Thorsby, AL 35171). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
