He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis M. Barnes and Lillie Mae Kendrick Barnes; his brothers, Herbert Barnes and Willis Barnes; and his nephew Tom Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Jeane Walker Barnes; his brother Ralph Barnes; and his nephews, Jim Barnes and Bill Barnes. He is also survived by his four stepchildren along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
