He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Milton Carpenter and Carolyn Horner Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Spader Carpenter; his daughters, Kelly Webb (Ezell) of Birmingham, Ashley Bazemore (Tom) of Birmingham, Tracy Colley (Clay) of Birmingham and Courtney Andre (John) of Dothan, Alabama.; and his siblings, Harry Carpenter (Barbara) of Fairhope, AL and Carolyn Henderson of Dothan, AL.
