He is survived by: his wife Joan Vance Stell; his children, Amanda Grace Chance of Charlottesville, VA and William David Stell of Buffalo, NY; his stepson Kristian Alexander Kemp (Fannie) of San Diego, CA; his granddaughters, Braelynn and Violet Chance of Charlottesville, VA; his mother Eloise Stell-Mizzell (Vernon Mizzell) of Holly Pond, AL; and his sister Elizabeth McCrea (Nelson) of Columbiana, AL.
